About Me

Hi, I’m Christy,
I’m an entrepreneur who has spent over a decade turning trial, error, and a lot of wasted time into a practical understanding of how online income actually works.
When I decided to stay home with my kids, I also stepped away from using my business degree in any traditional sense. Like a lot of families, we needed extra income, and I needed it to be flexible. So I started doing what I’ve always done when I want to understand something: I researched it, I tested it, I built it, nearly always monetized it, and then I moved on to the next thing.
For years, that felt like failure, but in reality it was a ton of hands-on learning experience.
How This Started
I jumped from one idea to the next for a long time. Affiliate marketing, Etsy shops, content creation, reselling, my own store. Every time someone online talked about a side hustle, I wanted to understand how it actually worked. Not the highlight reel version, but the mechanics of it.
I was learning how platforms work, how traffic converts, how trust is built, and why some income streams last while others burn out fast. I just didn’t realize that’s what I was doing at the time.
My degree is actually in accounting, though my real interest was always marketing. I started college as a marketing major and only switched after everyone convinced me accounting was the safer path. My husband still laughs because I genuinely cannot do basic math in my head.
When I stepped away from a traditional career, it felt like that education might go to waste. Eventually I realized I could combine what I learned in school with everything I was figuring out in real life. Instead of treating side hustles as isolated experiments, I started looking at them as systems: traffic sources, monetization models, long-term assets. I started thinking about building a brand instead of chasing a bunch of unrelated income streams. That shift changed how everything worked.
The Income Streams I’ve Been Testing
Over the past 10+ years I’ve experimented with building many types income streams.
- affiliate marketing across blogs, Pinterest, and social platforms
- SEO-driven content
- website ads
- Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube monetization
- Amazon Associates and the Amazon Influencer program – including OnSite earnings
- UGC creation
- TikTok shop
- social content on Facebook, Instagram, and Threads
- reselling thrift finds online and at in-person markets
- handmade and print-on-demand products on Etsy, Printify, and Shopify
- publishing through Amazon KDP
- various types of freelancing
- and probably more I’m either forgetting or not ready to admit to.
Some things worked faster than others. Some only worked once I stopped treating them like one-off hustles and started connecting them together. That’s the perspective I share here: not theory, not hype, but what I actually lived through.
Why Not Sell a $997 Course?
Most people package this kind of knowledge into expensive courses. I went a different direction, and the reason is pretty straight forward: if you’re looking to earn more money, you’re probably trying not to spend the money you have.
I’ve been there. This blog actually started as budgeting content because that’s where my head was at the time.
Honestly, most of what I know I taught myself by collecting every free opt-in and “free training” I could find, and then digging deeper through blogs and YouTube videos because I genuinely couldn’t afford to buy courses and risk having nothing to show for it. I spent years piecing information together out of necessity.
I share what I’ve learned openly through this blog, YouTube, social content, and my Skool community, Side Hustle Studio. If I can help you skip months of spinning your wheels trying to connect the same dots I did, that’s the whole point.
My Approach to Side Hustles
It took me a long time to really nail down my actual plan for how to go about side hustles.
I don’t believe in doing everything at once, but I also don’t believe in waiting until you feel ready. What actually works is learning one platform or business model deeply before expanding, building an audience or customer base before chasing scale, and connecting income streams so one leads naturally into the next. That’s how side hustles turn into something sustainable.
This is something that led me to many failed attempts, until I slowed down to let something click before adding to it.
Who This Is For
If you are looking for ways to earn more money, you’re in the right place. My content is for you if:

- You’ve tried a few side hustles but nothing stuck
- You feel like you’re always starting over
- You want realistic income strategies that fit real life
Working With Brands
My audience values education, transparency, and trust, and I approach brand partnerships the same way. I collaborate with trusted brands through blog content, social media posts and YouTube sponsorships, with a focus on long-term value rather than one-off promotion. I only recommend products I believe in and will benefit my audience, followers and subscribers.
Connect With Me
Beyond this blog, I run a Skool community called Side Hustle Studio where people can connect, learn, and build without pressure or upsells. The free tier of this community is all you need to find support with starting your side hustle.
Everything I share here and there comes back to the same goal:
Helping you turn experimentation into income systems that actually last.
If that sounds like what you’re looking for, you’re where you belong.
